Visit to the Perlier Farm, (Black Pearl Factory) where clams and pearls are exhibited in display cases so that visitors can observe, amongst other aspects, the different sizes and varieties of pearls. You can also learn about the formation, growing and valuation of pearls. There are several varieties of clams that can be seen being cultured in large open air shallow pools and visitors will be shown the methods that are used for the process of farming pearls, including the formation of pearls by inserting a foreign object into the oyster. There is also a gift shop where pearls, jewellery and other souvenirs can be bought
This is followed by a visit to the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve, which is one of the Seychelles’ two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This stunningly beautiful preserved ancient forest is home to the unique and wondrous Coco de Mer Palm, which has the largest seed in the world, plenty of exotic birds such as the elusive Black Parrot, numerous plant, insect and reptile species, where many of these are endemic and found nowhere else in the world.
Stop to enjoy a lovely creole lunch at a nice restaurant.
After lunch, your guide will take you to Anse Lazio Beach, which has the reputation of being one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with its pristine clear waters and fine white sand. This is a very calm and scenic place, with lots of shade and is the best place to relax, have a swim and enjoy the beautiful sand, sea and rock formations.
