This is followed by a transfer to the Vallee de Mai Nature reserve, an extraordinary primeval forest, unhurried giving you the closer bond to Mother Nature. The Vallee is home to some 7,000 Coco de Mer palms and the rare Black Parrot.
After the visit we will cruise along the coastal road past picturesque coves and fishing villages to Cote D’Or where clients can buy souvenirs in local shops if they wish.
You will then be transferred by boat to La Digue Island, with its with its coconut trees towering over secluded coves, designer granite rocks line the shore and white sandy beaches stretching into the distance. Its charm is enhanced by the fact that the main transport for islanders is by bicycle !
La Digue also offers a real insight into the life of the Seychellois people. After disembarkation at the jetty you will be greeted with a warm welcome typical of the island people unspoilt by the pressures of the modern world. Upon arrival, we take you to a selected restaurant for a delicious typical CREOLE LUNCH.
After lunch, we’ll proceed to l’Union Estate with its majestic colonial house. At l’Union Estate you can watch coconuts being processed into copra and oil and admire the giant tortoises in their pen close to one of the Seychelles largest granite boulders.
You will also have time for a swim at the lovely Anse Source d’Argent Beach. Late afternoon, we’ll head back to the jetty for the return journey to Praslin Island and subsequently to Mahe.
On arrival on Mahe, we will be transferred back to your respective hotel.
